Custom Music
Why commission a custom piece?
If you are looking for a completely customized piece of music for your production, we can accommodate you in that as well, usually with a very quick-turnaround (sometimes in as little as 48 hours). Creating a custom piece provides several advantages over purchasing a licensed piece from our Library:
In creating a custom piece of music, we will ask for your production, including any production notes (when you want silence, when you want it loud, "make it sound like this", etc.) well in advance of the scheduled recording dates. That way, we can begin to watch your production and get the feel and idea for it, and begin toying with melodies, instruments, and the like.
Then, we will keep you updated on the recording process, asking for feedback along the way (if time allows). Depending on how quick the turn-around is, we may not be able to make many back-and-forth adjustments, but we will do what we can! We want to make sure you are happy with the product you are paying for!
Once your custom piece is finished, we get you an immediate digital delivery of the finished .WAV master along with the individual .WAV stems for you to get to your video editing team ASAP. We will also send you a USB jump drive with a hard copy of all of the digital files for you to use for later use, and for you to retain a hard copy of your project.
Turn-Around
Turn-around time can vary drastically depending on your needs and our current workload. We suggest contacting us at least a month before your deadline, but at slow times we can often turn-around pieces (from scratch) within a week or less. Further considerations are outside musicians, length of the piece, difficulty of instrumentation, etc. We do not guarantee a specific date if it is extremely short-notice, but we will do the best we can to accommodate you.

- Exclusive rights if you desire, with the option to always come back and purchase exclusive rights later on.
- You will retain all audio files for later use - or you can add more of your own sounds!

- Pricing for custom pieces starts at $1000, with additional charges as needed. (We will settle on a price before work begins.)
